This beautiful and small tidal island is situated just off the coast of the northern French region of Normandy. Since the eight century AD, Mont Saint-Michel has been the seat of the monastery, from which it also draws its name. More than 3 million tourists are coming every year to see this beautiful tidal island. Mont Saint-Michel is one of the most recognizable landmarks in France, and it is also a part of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Eilean Donan is located in Loch Duch, a beautiful land in the western Highlands of Scotland. This wonderful small tidal island is connected to the natural ground by a footbridge. Eilean Donan is famous for its medieval castle, offering a spectacular view. This medieval castle was built in the early 13th century, being used for defense against the Vikings. These days, the castle is probably the most photographed structure in Scotland and it is a favorite place for film locations and weddings. The medieval castle was featured in “The World is Not Enough” and “Highlander”.

Lindisfarne is a beautiful tidal island placed on the north-east coast of England. This tidal island is also recognized as the Holy Island. A monastery was founded on Lindisfarne around 635 AD and became the base for Christian evangelizing. In the 16th century, a small castle was built on the tidal island and today it is a much visited attraction.
