All of us have credit or debit cards. Most of us have more than one. Cards have become the easiest and most comfortable way of purchasing items. Instead of carrying many bills in our bags, running the risk of being robbed or even losing them, we have square pieces of plastic that hold all our money on them. However, when we have more than one card, it can get tiresome searching for the right one or mistakenly giving the shop assistant a card with no money on it. As a solution to this problem Plastc Card is able to store up to 20 cards.
The e-ink Plastc Card is a new device that allows us to carry all our card information in one place and choose between cards through the device’s touchscreen interface. Plastc Card features the classic magnetic swipe strip that comes with normal cards so it can be used in any location that accepts them.
It comes with an E-ink strip at the bottom of the card that serves as a touchscreen. This allows users to scroll through their saved cards where their full numbers will be displayed. In this way the user can choose the preferred one, lock the Plastc Card with a Pin or even generate a QR code.
For extra security, the Plastc Card comes features proximity alert. This feature pairs the card with the smartphone. If the card gets too far from the phone you will be notified. Afterwards, you will have the choice between setting the card to “return me” or wiping it out completely. Each card comes with a wireless charging pad and a software that is upgradeable. It is available for preorder for $155 on its official website and will most likely arrive in Q3 of next year.
What do you think of the Plastc Card? Would you replaced your card with this new invention?
