As per usual, Heineken impresses us with a new, exciting ad. This is the seventh installment in ”The Legends” series and features a male lead character, who is of course, charming and resourceful but has given up globetrotting for something more exciting: uncovering the secrets of his own city. He finds plenty of adventures along the way and he also stumbles upon Eve ( a not so subtle reference to the first of all women, perhaps?) to whom he struggles to return a set of lost business cards. This Heineken ad is fast paced and fun to watch!
“We know that while Heineken drinkers are familiar with many of the hot spots in their cities, they may not venture outside their usual routine on a daily basis to explore the unexpected,” says Colin Westcott-Pitt, vp of marketing at Heineken. “With the ‘Cities of the World’ campaign, we’re aiming to inspire them to move away from their usual habits this summer to discover and unlock the secrets of their own cities.” In a nutshell, Heineken urges men everywhere to explore and discover their own backyards, for a change.
As a part of the campaign, Heineken also produced some limited edition bottles, each with a print of six global cities: New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, Shanghai, London and Rio de Janeiro.The spot was created by agency Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam and was filmed in Hong Kong by director Traktor.
