One of the most beautiful and impressive tourist attractions in China is the Panjin Red Beach. Located at about 30 km distance from Panjin City, the Red Beach is actually placed in the Liaohe River Delta.
It is not difficult at all to find out from where this beautiful beach in China gets its name. The unique appearance of this famous tourist attraction is caused by a sea weed that flourishes in the saline-alkali soil. This type of sea weed is known as Sueda or seepweed.
It actually starts to grow on the beach during April and May, stays green during the summer and turns the breathtaking color during the autumn.
This means that the wonderful appearance of this beach may only be admired during the autumn, when the weed turns flaming red. Visitors who are going to arrive in this place during the summer, may find that everything is green, so the Red Beach looks like any other beach in the world. The autumn is considered to be the best time to visit it due to the nice temperature, too.
Even though a big part of the Red Beach is closed to the public, being a natural reserve, there is a part of this attraction which can be admired by tourists. The Red Beach covers a total area of 1.4 million acres.
A visit to this beautiful corner of the world might turn out being an amazing opportunity to view no less than 236 species of birds, which inhabit the area. Red-crowned canes and black-mouth gulls are among the protected species that can be seen here. These species made the beach a national nature protection area.
The Panjin Red Beach is famous both for its unique color and the many rare species of birds that can be found in this area. Every autumn it turns into an unbelievable vivid red beach. Would you like to admire the amazing Red Beach in China?
