Sometimes space truly represents an issue, as there isn’t much available and stuff tends to get a little crowded. When this happens, people start to get more easily annoyed or upset. It isn’t too nice to jump over the bed in order to reach the bathroom or to avoid the couch on your way to the dressing. Well, small apartments still exist out there in the world and sometimes you only need an effort of imagination and creativity in order to properly place things in a small, available place.
This is exactly what architects Julie Nabucet and Marc Baillargeon did with a small apartment in Paris. The most interesting feature of the project is precisely its really modest surface, only 130 square feet (16 square meters). What is even more interesting is the fact that this small apartment was actually a former master bathroom attached to a much larger home. Check out how the former bathroom was transformed and we are sure you will be at least surprised.
This small apartment truly is a Parisian wonder space, full of creative ideas. The elevated platform between the living zone and kitchen is truly practical. It hides the bed or the couch, according to the owner’s living needs. The storage space is hidden by the set of steps leading towards the kitchen.
We are impressed by the vividly colored furniture and the modern design of the decorative elements. What is more astonishing is the amazing way a small apartment can be transformed into a practical living space which can make you forget about its actual size. This small apartment seems perfect for students or a young couple seeking privacy.
What other practical ideas could you add to those of the two architects in order to maximize as much as possible a small living space?
