Lots of smart solutions and a powerful color scheme. This is how it might be defined in brief a 140 square meters of interior space transformed by Polish studio Mode:Lina Architekci into a charming minimal house for a couple and their dog.
Probably the biggest challenge for architects was to obtain a space as big as possible while they equipped it with everything one needs in a house. In this regard even the place under the stairs – which is a usually empty place – was carefully planned to host spacious storage and even a small dog house. Sliding doors were installed in the interest of space again, while their mirror surface was chosen to enlarge the area visual.
An island into the kitchen area was a desire of the owners for their ultrafast breakfast during working days, while the big dining table was installed to properly celebrate weekend meals.
The center of the house is marked with a white frame, which continues in the living room. The minimalist attitude is found in the living room too although the space has a TV and a fireplace but they are hidden with walls’ dark color.
Upstairs, as well as on the ground floor, Scandinavian design style, clients’ favourite, was reached by raw materials (raw concrete and wood) supplemented with white and dark grey shades with ubiquitous energetic yellow color.
The bedroom is connected with the wardrobe, while the small space dedicated to the bathroom was divided into two parts to fit quite a big bath and a comfortable shower.
Angled walls are used throughout the house to expand the feeling of space, while art appears in this interior in the form of paintings, designer furniture and accessories.
