4. Social animals
Kangaroos are highly social and live in groups called troops or mobs. A group can be formed by 9 to even more than 90 kangaroos. Male kangaroos use boxing to establish their domination within a group. When a kangaroo feels a potential danger, it alerts the other members of the group by thumping its feet on the ground loudly.
Female kangaroos give birth once a year, after a month of gestation. A newborn measures between 0.2 and 0.8 inches long. The blind and hairless baby sits in its mothers pouch for 110 to 400 days. After some time, they take their heads out from the pouch and study the zone for a couple of weeks before they take off on their own.
