Chair at Proper Height
If you spend a lot of time working at a desk job, you might have to spend a lot of time on your office chair. Setting the chair at the right height goes a long way when it comes to getting the right posture, the right view of the computer, right support to your back and when you place your wrists on the work table; it gives just the right pressure on your wrists. In case your chair is not at the proper height, it can result in all sorts of health issues like shoulder pain, back pain, arm pain, wrist pain and worst of all a severe neck pain.
Hands Comfortable on Keyboard
When you sit on your office chair, make sure your hands are comfortable on the keyboard. In case your hands are not comfortable, it will result in many difficulties for your wrists, your fingers and you will end up in a lot of pain. The best way to avoid this is to ensure your hands are parallel to your body and has enough movement along the keyboard without any difficulty. If you face any signs of discomfort, it means you are not keeping the hands properly.
Monitor Set Properly
If you use a laptop, you are probably spending your day slouched over the screen leading to unwanted back problems and shoulder problems. You should always keep the monitor at a height so that you will have to look straight ahead and not down to it. It should be at a level which gives you maximum comfort and you will not have to slouch or bend your neck.
Along with having a properly constructed office space, there are a few other things you need to do to stay limber at office.
Try to stand up every hour or 30 minutes. Just do not sit on the same position for a stretch. It is always good for your spine to continuously change your work environment. Try and move around and stretch whenever possible. Do some neck twists and shoulder twists to keep the blood flowing. If you don’t have enough space to walk around in the office, try and flex your legs and shift in the chair to ensure there is constant blood flow through your lower half too.
