Dhanushkodi Beach was a beautiful village until 1964, when a cyclone swept away all the structure of the village. Now it is a deserted beach. Gandhamdhana Parvatham, House of Kalam,Agni Teertham are some other places to visit. You can also travel a few kilometre from the city centre to see the Rameswaram lighthouse.
