Responding to demand for customized power measuring and monitoring solutions, Server Technology, a provider of data center power distribution units and power measurement and monitoring solutions, has released 18 new cabinet power distribution units (CDUs).

The 18-design launch adds 120 products to the company’s product line with the various options available for the new products. Server Technology (News – Alert) offers more than 1200 SKUs for the data center and telecommunications industries to meet global power management needs.

Brandon Ewing, president of Server Technology, remarked in a statement: “We’ve developed a unique design-engineer-build process that allows us to work with our customers to develop solutions that provide capabilities to solve problems and drive their businesses forward. Server Technology was built on our power expertise and engineering know-how and I’m thrilled with our speed to market for customer specific products.”

The new product introduction includes: high amperage smart power monitors for storage arrays, for network switches, and to refit unmonitored installations, basic and metered three-phase CDUs with circuit breakers for branch circuit protection, 208 V 50/60 A basic and metered CDUs for high-density applications, horizontal and vertical CDUs with NEMA single-phase and three-phase twist-lock receptacles, three-phase high-power CDUs with C19 outlets to support blade deployments, and the first 48-outlet switched CDU powered from a single 208 V three-phase 50/60 A power input feed. The company has also designed a switched high-density, high-power CDU for data center lab environments.

In addition, Server Technology’s high-accuracy Per Input Power Sensing (PIPSTM) technology is integrated into smart 24-, 36-, and 48-outlet CDUs. PIPSTM devices monitor the power in-feed information — including current, voltage, power, apparent power, crest factor, reactance, power factor, and accumulated energy — providing a cost-effective and accurate alternative to complex branch circuit monitoring at the remote power panel.

“We’ve listened to our customers and responded to their needs,” said Ewing. “From concept to build to meet our customer’s schedules – no one else can meet these kinds of deadlines. Especially not with the superior design, engineering, manufacturing and quality that Server Technology can.”
