AIPVT 2016 which is commonly known as All India Pre-Veterinary Test is a veterinary entrance exam that is held for admission to 15% of the total number of seats in Veterinary Colleges in India (except J&K) for Indian Nationals. AIPVT is conducted by Veterinary Council of India (VCI).
AIPVT 2016 is conducted for Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc.&A.H). The duration of this course is 5 years along with compulsory six months of rotating internship.AIPVT 2016has total number of 628 seats including all seats in Haryana, Rajasthan and Manipur.
The result of AIPVT 2016 will be declared tentatively in the month of June/July 2016 for the exam to be conducted on May 14, 2016. The result will be mainly based on the answer keys to be released by Veterinary Council of India (VCI).The merit list and wait listed candidates will receive an SMS or email. The result card will not be sent by post to the students and therefore the students must check the result Online in the official website of AIPVT. The result must be downloaded by the candidates for the counselling process and also till the admission process gets over.
AIPVT Answer Keys: The AIPVT answer keys will be displayed on the official website before the declaration of the result. The entire procedure is very transparent and the students are given a chance to challenge their answers keys. The challenge can be made for any number of questions at the rate of Rs.1000 per questions and the money will be refunded on the correct of each answer of the students.
AIPVT 2016 Merit List:The Veterinary Council of India prepares a merit list for the successful candidates who clears the entrance exam. The allotment of seats list will also be prepared for students in B.V.Sc& A.H. Course under 15% Quota. There are tentatively 258 seats for the programme. Waiting List will be prepared for the students containing their name and rank. The waiting list will contain three times the number of students in the merit list.
Preparation of the Merit List: Merit list would be prepared on the overall marks secured by the student. The following order will be given preference in case of 2 or more candidates score overall equal marks:
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology the AIPVT Entrance Exam
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the AIPVT Entrance Exam
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics in the AIPVT Entrance Exam
