As it happened every year, the stars of the Geneva Motor Show were cars. However, this does not mean other vehicles were neglected. Small vehicle enthusiasts were able to admire all sorts of new models of electric scooters, electric bikes and the likes. Perhaps one of the most striking designs held by a Geneva Motor Show participant was that of FEDDZ. The vehicles looks like the perfect blend between electric cargo bike and motor scooter.
The FEDDZ is not the first electric cargo bike to reach the market. However, whereas most of the vehicles that have been launched so far are cumbersome and seem to rely heavily on the cargo aspect of their functionality, the FEDDZ is sleek and slim, making use of its design in an innovative way. It will not be useful for carrying children or large quantities or cargo, however it packs enough room to store common items in its frame.
The electric bike was designed by the German based company Emo-bike. It uses an electric motor and frees up 23 liters of cargo space. The cargo space also comes up with two belts to secure your possessions. The FEDDZ is powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery that comes in two versions. The 1,600-Wh ECO battery will keep the bike running for a range of 43.5 miles (70 km), whereas the 2,100-Wh Premium battery will keep you going up to 68 miles (110 km). The battery takes between 5.5 and 7 hours to charge and is guaranteed for 500 recharging cycles.
The FEDDZ was launched last year. It has a price tag of €5,990 euro for the ECO Battery models and €6,990 for models who make use of the Premium batteries. Both bikes require a helmet and insurances. Would you like to try one of them?
