Trips are meant to be wonderful experiences where we have fun and discover the sights of the cities that we have chosen as destination. However, sometimes, luck is against us and instead of having fun, a nice trip has the potential to turn into a nightmare. For Georgia Bradley this would have been a very real possibility had it not been for an unexpected savior. Upon being threatened by two men on a beach in Crete, the young woman was saved by a stray dog. In turn, she returned to Greece to adopt her canine savior.
Georgia Bradley was spending a relaxing holiday in Crete, when suddenly two men came to her, asking her to go for drinks. When she refused, the men turned violent and tried to grab her. However, in that very moment, a dog appeared almost out of nowhere and started barking at her assailants, scaring them off. Afterwards, the dog followed the young woman to her apartment. A deep connection was quickly forged between the two of them. In time, it was revealed that the dog was a stray. Unfortunately, no shelter wanted to take the canine in and soon Georgia had to return home, to Cornwall.
“When I got home I couldn’t stop thinking about her,” Bradley stated in an interview. “I took the soonest flight back out that I could, which was two weeks later. It was a real risk because we may never have found her again. But when we saw Pepper on the beach, it was the best feeling ever.”
Determined to adopt her savior, Georgia Bradley had Pepper micro-chipped, vaccinated and given a pet passport. After spending almost a month in quarantine Pepper was all set to go home with Georgia. However, Pepper had a surprise for her new owner. It turned out the dog was pregnant and soon after relocating in the UK gave birth to six puppies. Do you know other such stories?
