Although computers and technology have mostly taken over our lives, sometimes we still feed the need to be a little old fashioned. Although we have programs such as OneNote to help us keep track of our notes, it can be easier for some to grab a notebook and a pen, then start writing. However, when the notebook fills up with carefully written notes, the time comes to buy a new one. But what if the paper notebook is digitized and saves every bit of information on cloud? You’d like to reuse it in that case, right?
Rocketbook is a digital notebook that can be easily reused. All you have to do is put in in the microwave for a 30 seconds and the pages turn blank once more. The notebooks is made of 100 microwave safe pages. In this way, putting it in the microwave will not cause it any serious damage. Rocketbook is also especially designed to work with Pilot’s special FriXion pens. These pens use a certain type of ink that disappears when exposed to heat. If you decide to use other pens, the notebook will turn into a normal one.
In order to be able to safely erase all your hard work, you have to be able to save your data. Rocketbook works with a smartphone and tablet app that quickly digitizes each page and allows you to upload it to your preferred cloud service such as Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. The bottom of each page features a series of icons you can easily activate. These icons tell the app exactly where each page needs to be stored when it is uploaded.
At the moment, the Rocketbook is available for pre-order on Indiegogo. A donation of $45 will result in two letter sized notebooks and a black FriXion pen for taking notes. The notebooks should start start shipping in July if all goes well with the campaign. What do you think of this handy type of notebook?
