Also known as Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall), the People’s Palace is situated in the central Piazza del Duomo. When you enter this amazing building, you will see the famous room named “Sala di Dante”, which is decorated with important and beautiful collections of courtly frescoes and other art works that are dating back between the 13th and the 17th century. From this palace, you can go up to the Torre Grossa, the highest tower in this country, where you can enjoy an impressive view. Palazzo Comunale was built between 1289 and 1298.

Also known as The Duomo, La Collegiata is placed on the west side of the Duomo square. This beautiful church is an impressive monument of Romanesque architecture. Inside you will see impressive altars, chapels, frescoes and beautiful paintings that are made by famous artists. When you enter the central nave you will find two wooden statues made by the famous Jacopo della Quercia, an Italian sculptor, that are illustrating “Martyrdom of St. Sebastiano”
