When the lights go out due to power loss, we find ourselves in need of a flashlight. Usually, we have to wander around the house in pitch darkness in order to find a light or some candles. Sometimes we stumble or even get hurt because we cannot see where we are going. However, by adding a powerful flashlight to a watch, the SureFire WristLight solves this problem in an effortless way.
A watch is an object we carry with us everywhere. Once we tie it around our wrist, we pay it attention only when we need to tell the time. As a result, adding a powerful flashlight to a watch is the best way to make sure you have a light source whenever you need it. The SureFire 2211 Luminox WristLight is the first watch that comes with a light bright enough to illuminate an entire room.
For now, the watch has been created only for law enforcement, military and emergency response personnel. Perhaps, in time, a model for regular citizens will be launched as well. SureFire WristLight comes with a powerful, high-intensity LED that is able to emit up to 300 lumens. It also comes with a compact rechargeable battery. At its highest intensity, the battery will be drained in one hour. As a result the watch also comes with 15 and 60 lumens modes ( low and mid-level illumination ) in order to prologue the life of the battery. With low-output, the battery can last up to 13 hours before it needs recharging.
The watch uses a separate battery to tell the time. Therefore, even if you have used the LED to its fullest and drained that battery, the second one will keep working and allow you to tell the time. Moreover, it also has a self illuminating dial.
