As time passes, we turn our attention towards hybrid and electric cars more and more. Part of it is a desire to keep the environment clean, to fight pollution. Another part is the fact that we tend to enjoy things that are new and stylish. Green cars have definitely come out in several varieties that fit those criteria. The Nimbus e-Car concept aims to dazzle both with its design and specs.
This brand new concept car was designed by Eduardo Galvani. Its design is similar to the iconic VW bus, appealing in this way to the fans of retro cars. However, with just one glance at this new concept, we are able to realize the Nimbus E-car is so much more. This car is made for both short and long roads. It boasts a 130Kw (180hp) hybrid lithium-ion battery powered engine that works in parallel to a micro combustion generator.
The Nimbus E-car is built out of strong, yet light materials such as carbon-fiber, titanium and aluminium. This fact optimizes the power consumption. Part of its careen is covered in sun cells. In this way the car is able to auto generate some of its energy. The Nimbus E-car also has a regenerative brake mechanism that helps it recover and save kinetic energy.
This new concept car comes with Obstacle Detection and a back camera that aids drivers during parking times. The Central Display and Controller is a removable touchscreen that is equipped with an Anti-theft System, and has Remote Power Blocker and Location Detection. The steering wheel of the Nimbus E-car is hydraulic. Already stepping in the high-tech field, gadget fans will be pleased to learn that the Nimbus also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, four USB connectors, one 12V power connector, a single touch power button for the engine and Auto-Pilot technology.
