When it comes to hotels, imagination is the key word. In order to dazzle, their owners have to come up with stellar ideas. Some create Ice Hotels. Others use sand to build up their accommodations. The Capsule Hotel from Japan makes you feel as if you are in a spaceship, while the cave hotel from Turkey is built in an impressive setting.
Scottish people have come up with the Beermoth, a unique 2-person accommodation located in the countryside. Found on the Inshriach House grounds, this intriguing truck hotel room is just the first out of the three unusual holiday options located in the woods around the property.
If you’re the more adventurous sort and wish to discover the real delights of the Scottish countryside, then the Beermoth is the perfect accommodation for you. This hotel room is a restored 1954 Commer fire Service truck that was converted into an amazing camping sport for two. What’s more, it can easily be moved around the estate, allowing you to enjoy more than one view of your surroundings.
Walter, its creator, recovered this special truck from the Manston Fire Museum in Kent. As soon as he brought it to the Inshriach House grounds, he raised the truck’s roof by a foot, added oak parquet floor rescued from a Tudor mansion and outfitted it with an old cottage door. Afterwards, he added a tiny kitchen, a wood-burning stove, a Victorian double bed and a side panel that can be rolled up to admire the breathtaking view.
If you’re looking for something unique on your holiday, then the Beermoth is the perfect choice. It must be noted, though, that no children are allowed in the truck hotel room. However, pets are admitted. Prices start from £60 per night. Would you book this truck for your holiday?
