Though superfoods is a marketing given name, it is quite accurate, as superfoods are packed with nutrients and sparse in calories. Today the focus is on superfoods that will help you lose weight. With tiny adjustments to your diet, you will slowly but surely lose weight. As you will see, these superfoods are common so it shouldn’t be hard for you to include them in your diet.
Superfoods for Weight Loss
Made out of 90 percent water, eating grapefruit will make you feel full. It is also packed with Vitamin C, it lowers your insulin levels ( insulin is a fat storage hormone) and it is also a great source of protein. Just by eating half a grapefruit before a meal, without making any other changes to your diet, will help you lose up to a pound a week.
Another one of the great superfoods that help with weight loss are apples. Eating an apple a day has been shown to help with slimming. Full of antioxidants, apples make a for a perfect, low carb snack.
If you’ve been avoiding eggs out of fear that they will increase your cholesterol know this: eaten twice or thrice a week, they will not raise your cholesterol or harm your heart. Instead, they will give you a protein boost for a low calorie count and will make you feel satiated and will help you trim inches. They have choline, a nutrient that prevents fat being absorbed by the liver.
You might have thought that by being such a fatty fruit, avocados could not help you lose weight. Actually, avocados have healthy fats – monounsaturated fats- and a high level of fiber. Use it to top off a salad, in a sandwich or as is and enjoy the benefits of this tasty superfood.
With only 30 calories per cup, broccoli is one of nature’s most nutrient-dense veggie. Packed full with antioxidants which help your body detoxify, fiber and known for it’s cancer fighting properties, broccoli is one of the tasty superfoods that will help you lose weight.
