Not so long ago we published an article about the books it is indicated to read before you turn 30. It was a great adventure to gather all those amazing novels together in our virtual library, but before starting reading we were looking for a cozy retreat where it’s just us and our books. And, we believe it or not, we found it and we discovered it is simply more than just a cozy armchair or a book decorated corner. It is truly a space of reading, medication and solitutide, a garden library.
Just imagine a book heaven where you are simply enjoying a book in a special created place in your garden. If tree houses are a reality, why shouldn’t garden libraries be one as well? The garden library we are telling you about is located in the Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic and it is a project signed by Mjölk architekti.
The garden library project had a budget of € 4 500 and it is made entirely of wood and plywood, using the iusing the bookcase as a supporting framework. It is really an enire dweling and the first level hosts the reading room and fireplace, while the second floor accommodates the sleeping areas.
The most interesting aspect of the entire garden library is the open roof which will allow the guests of using it as an observatory. This is indeed the type of retreat where you can simply grab a book, read while enjoying nature and simply forget about the stress of modern life and the technology which keeps us too well connected to the reality.
This heavenly garden library is perfect for those of you who search for some moments of deep solitude while connecting to an entire different world with the help of the books you’re reading.
