Mary-Anne Bowers, a 33 year-old ballerina was 9-months pregnant and still dancing. She is so passionate of what she does, that she wanted to continue dancing until giving birth to her baby.
Mary-Anne is running the Beautiful Ballet fitness company and is also in charge of keeping Victoria’s Secret models into shape; she is the one who has worked with Natalie Portman for her role in Black Swan. Dancing in general, and ballet in particular is her life. So, it is not strange at all that she did not want to give it up even when expecting her 1st child.

Some might think her decision was unwise. But this New York based ballerina has proven them wrong. She wanted to show the whole world the amazing benefits of sports and dancing during the pregnancy period. In order to do that, she has documented the entire 9 months process by posting photos of herself dancing on her Instagram account.
Moving the body helps me so much to prevent a lot of back pain, a lot of swelling, and some of the more uncomfortable side effects of pregnancy that a lot of women experience. (…) It’s great for your confidence, too. It’s nice to know you’re doing something good for yourself and the body, is what she declared to New York Daily News.
The pictures Mary-Anne Bowers has taken show us a graceful ballerina with a goddess body. Sure, we can all see the baby bump, but she simple looks like a very beautiful lady and agile and talented dancer. She has maintained a fabulous figure, only gaining some extra kilograms; we realize she is pregnant because we can observe her belly, but otherwise we would not know.
