Clive Staples Lewis, the author of the Chronicles of Narnia, once said: “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” Most probably, many people agree with this quote. A good book often finishes much too soon and leaves the reader yearning for more. Likewise, a cup of amazing tea is never big enough to fully bring warmth in your body and flavor in your life. Sometimes, we long to try new blends of tea, but are unsure which ones would suit us. How would it be, then, to drink a different cup of tea each day of the year?
The Tea Calendar is an invention made by tea company called Hälssen & Lyon in partnership with creative agency Kolle Rebbe. The calendar is made of many lists. Each one turns into a cup of flavored drink.
The Tea Calendar is crafted manually. The high quality leaves are crushed and turned into a paste. Afterwards they are pressed into thin sheets. The pages of the calendar are cut from these sheets. The day and month are written on them by food coloring. To make the tea you simply take out a sheet, put it in a cup and add boiling water.
All the fragments are sorted by calendar days to plan for each week. The blend of each day is written on the packaging of the tea set. The producers promised that users will not be disappointed and that each day will bring a new type of tea with itself.
Unfortunately, the Tea Calendar is not available for purchase. This new invention can only be used by the partners of Hälssen & Lyon. Mass marketing may or may not be in the future of the Tea Calendar. However, it is a novel concept and is sure to make tea lovers everywhere excited. Would you try it?
