We all dream about the Italian “dolce vita” or “dolce far niente”, and sometimes this dream materializes in the shape of the perfect home. If owning a home in Italy is your dream, then you’re going to fall in love with the next images of an amazing loft apartment located in Milan.
The loft apartment is located in the center of Milan and what makes it interesting is the fact that it is actually a former soap factory. The project of the loft apartment was designed by industrial designer Frederic Gooris in collaboration with architect Werner Silvestri. This is indeed a dream home, promoting the idea of a cozy home and office, two in one, with enough space for you to move freely through the house, without jumping over different pieces of furniture.
As you can expect from the collaboration between the two specialists, a series of smart solutions have been implemented in order to use each inch of the loft apartment in the smartest possible way. For instance, the space in the loft apartment, which is used as an office space, has been acoustically isolated. To symbolically mark the entrance into the office, they raised a giant glass box (representing the office) above the floor.
We absolutely love the way a Gothic looking space was transformed in the children’s bedroom by adding dedicated furniture and making the atmosphere seem milder. The bathroom of the loft apartment is really modern and seems really cozy with the brown walls. The living room is a combination of minimalist and classic, merging so well together that you can close your eyes and imagine your own living designed in a similar way.
What do you think? Is this loft apartment appealing to you? We would definitely move to Milan just for the chance to live in a beautiful home like this one.
