Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the most appreciated musicians and composers of all times. Mozart was a complex artist, able to play multiple instruments and capable to compose spectacular symphonies. Throughout the years, Mozart composed numerous sonatas, symphonies, operas and concerts, best described by vivid emotion and complex textures.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was the son of a successful composer and violinist, Leopold Mozart. His father dedicated much of his time to the education of his children. At the age of five, Wolfgang showed impressive skills, beyond what his father taught him. He already excelled at playing the clavinet and the violin.
He learned playing the piano even sooner, at the age of three, only by watching his father teaching his older sister playing this instrument. Still, in 1764 Leopold Mozart became very ill. As no one in the family was allowed to touch the piano, Wolfgang decided to compose his first symphony for full orchestra. Back then, he was a 9 year old kid. His talent was so obvious that at the age of only 17, Wolfgang was already in the royal orchestra.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is well known for being unable to sit still. When he had an idea, he had to run to his piano to try the idea. He was believed to be an amazingly intelligent person and his music is regarded in the same way. A study performed by Francis Raucher and Gordon Shaw found that people who listen to Mozart’s music can actually improve their IQ. This is known as the Mozart effect on the development of the brain.
Mozart died at the young age of 35. Even though he died young, Mozart created more symphonies, sonatas and operas than any other composer of his time. He loved to live a luxurious life which brought Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart many financial problems. By the time of his death, Mozart was close to bankruptcy. This is why he was placed in an unmarked grave. The exact location in which he was buried is still unknown. The famous composer was a deeply religious person.
