Charlie Chaplin died in Switzerland, at the age of 88, where he lived after being exiled from the United States.
A tragic event involving Chaplin occurred after his death, when his body was stolen from the grave by people willing to obtain money from his family. The body was recovered after 11 weeks. Now, Chaplin is buried under 6 feet concrete with the purpose to prevent all other attempts of theft.
Chaplin still has an asteroid named after him. After four years from the death of the famous actor, Lyudmila Karachkina, a Ukrainian astronomer, named an asteroid after Chaplin, honoring this great actor and his impressive legacy in a unique way.
