The Wiener Prater (frequently called Wurstelprater) is the oldest amusement park in the world. It was first mentioned in 1162, and in 1766 it was donated to the people of Vienna. It was constantly developed, adding cinemas, bowling alleys, cafes and merry-go-rounds, to keep track with modern entertainment requests.

You can choose from the mildest to the toughest; happiest or scariest. Little kids enjoy Wiener Prater as much as older ones and parents. You can play games at a game shop, take dinner at themed restaurant, shoot yourself up to the sky in space-like shuttles, or ride a merry-go-round.Visitors also enjoyed the amazing roller-coasters and giant wheels.

While most of us see Prater as a heaven, you must be careful with some shopkeepers or game attendants, as they may try to trick you or even steal your money. Always ask for the price of each thing. One visitor said that when shooting at the shooting range, “the guy kept filling the pellets and finally asked 1 euro for each shot”.
