A great plus for these tide-filled pools is that it is completely safe to swim in them, as there virtually no currents to drag you offshore.
There have been added special amenities, in order to make the place more comfortable for visitors. Guests can find here changing rooms with lockers and showers, first-aid facilities, cyber-cafe, green area, snack bar and a viewing spot. To improve the safety of the site, lifeguards have also been added to avoid any risk of accident.

The safest time to swim in these lava pools is the summer, this being the best season to visit. During winter, huge swells appear in the ocean, generating big tides. Some pools are even closed down during this season. And sometimes there also appear natural “wave pools” that are too dangerous for visitors. The pools may be closed during these times.
