The Earth is full of wonders and mysteries that humans have not been able to solve yet. Wherever we go, we are bound to be surprised or dazzled by the beauty of our planet and the puzzles we are presented with. Too many parts of our world guard their secrets viciously and do not let many people near. Other places hide behind a normal façade. There are many delights still waiting to be discovered and it is hard to make a top of the most mysterious places of the world. Still, here we will present five of the most beautiful and intriguing places we have found.
Number 1: Easter Island
Who hasn’t heard of the Moai from Easter Island? These statues reaching 50 feet have intrigued archaeologists from the day they were discovered. Who carved them? How were they carried? What was their purpose? These are only a few questions that remain unsolved. However, we can say without a doubt that Easter Island is among the most mysterious places of the Earth.
Number 2: Nazca Lines
The Nazca lines are located in the middle of the Nazca Desert, in Peru. Studies have revealed that these lines were created between 450 and 600 AD. They depict various shapes like lizards, spiders, sharks etc. Scholars still do not know what the purpose of the Nazca Lines was. Were they used for rituals? Or perhaps they mapped astrological locations? And above all how did ancient men manage to create such lines without being able to fly? So far this puzzle remains unsolved.
Number 3: The Underwater ruins of Japan
The Yonaguni Monument is a massive underwater formation located near the Ryukyu Islands, in Japan. This monument was discovered by accident by a scuba diver. So far scholars have not managed to decide whether the monument was created by nature or was made by human hands. It will probably remain, for a long time, one of the most mysterious places of the world.
Number 4: The Bermuda Triangle
Perhaps the most fascinating among the mysterious places of the world, the Bermuda Triangle gave birth to numerous conspiracy theories. The disappearances of planes and ships in this large triangle off the coast of Florida were attributed to everything from ghosts to aliens. But what is really happening there?
